Under the Prime Minister, the Agency for the Management of Water Sources (AMBU) is the competent authority that works directly with line ministries on all EU-related aspects of integrated water management (transposition, implementation and reporting). This relates to negotiations between Albania and the EU in regard to Chapter 27 (Environment and Climate Change) of the acquis, currently being led by the Vice Minister of Tourism and Environment in accordance with Prime Ministerial Order (PMO) no. 94, of 20 May 2019 on the establishment, composition, and functioning of inter-institutional working groups for European Integration.
